Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT), with its million-plus teacher-created resources and billions of downloads, has become a cornerstone of the educational ecosystem. Its resources—from lesson plans to standards-aligned materials—directly impact two-thirds of U.S. teachers.

TPT faced a significant challenge: creating a seamless and valuable experience for educators creating and seeking resources.

The sheer volume of resources on TPT’s marketplace made it difficult for teachers to easily find and evaluate materials that met both their needs and those of their students. Our platform needed to effectively connect teachers with a vast array of peer-created educational materials, addressing diverse classroom needs.

To address this challenge, we collaborated directly with educators to reimagine resource creation and experience. We adopted a teacher-centered design process, transforming an underutilized feature into a key engagement tool. This iterative approach allowed us to learn from feedback and create a more empathetic, teacher-friendly platform.
